As a young
boy, I became fascinated with pigeons while living on a farm in Germany
during World War II. I began raising and breeding pigeons more than 50 years ago, primarily Modenas. I was the show secretary of the
Northeast Ohio Breeders & Fanciers Association for many years, and hosted the annual pigeon
show held each fall in Tallmadge, Ohio, and later Wooster, Ohio. I have traveled all over the country to show my birds and have attended a show in Germany. I also have served as a Modena judge at a number of pigeon shows around the country.
In addition to flying the White Belgian Racing Pigeons for ceremonial
releases, I make them available for sale to breeders interested in
this opportunity. I've assisted pigeon breeders in Ohio and other
states in launching their own white dove release businesses.
